What is an Exercise Physiologist?


Exercise Physiologists (EP) are 4-year university qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. EPs provide physical activity and behaviour change support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, cancer, arthritis, COPD and many more. 

Exercise Physiology Involves:

- 1-5 consultations with our Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
- Consultation lasts 20 - 30 min for Medicare referrals. 30-60min if paying yourself.
- During the initial session; information will be obtained regarding your condition and/or concerns.
- Tailored exercise plan to address your condition/s, issues and goals.
- Prescription of an individualised exercise program
- Education on your condition and how exercise will assist with management.
- Lifestyle modifications coaching.
