The Stepping On program is supported by funding from the Australian Government through South Western Sydney PHN
The seven-week program is designed for people who are living at home and have experienced a fall or are concerned about falling. The program is evidence-based and proven to be effective at reducing falls in older people living in the community. The program incorporates strategies to implement positive lifestyle changes to keep you independent, upright and active. |
Who is suitable for Stepping On?
Someone who:
- Is aged 65+ years, or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders aged 45+ years.
- Lives at home (not in a residential aged care home).
- Is able to walk independently, with or without a walking stick.
- Has a fear of falling or has had a fall in the last year.
