What is an Exercise Physiologist?


Exercise Physiologists (EP) are 4-year university qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. EPs provide physical activity and behaviour change support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, cancer, arthritis, COPD and many more.

Exercise Physiology Individual Service Involves:

From 1-5 consultations with our Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
Initial consultation lasting 30-60 min and subsequent sessions lasting 20- 45 min.
During the initial session; information will be obtained regarding your condition and/or concerns.
Tailored plan to address your condition/s, issues and goals.
Provision and instruction on an individualised exercise program
Education on your condition and how exercise will assist with symptom mangament.
Lifestyle modifications coaching to address your issues.

Most Private Health Insurers provide rebates for Exercise Physiology Services.
